SMX Controlled Ordering Solution (COS) is a system specifically designed to give control and accountability to provision of merchandise for point of sale display.
The system is only available to users who have been allocated a login and all their orders are recorded and tracked. An easy to use management system enables marketing controllers to restrict access to products and stock on both an individual and sales team level. It also provides reporting and analysis so you can track who’s ordering what, when and where it is going to, your stock levels and usage rates.
The web based ordering system is easy to use and enables reps to place orders quickly and accurately. The catalogue can be accessed through a hierarchy or searched on key terms and product names. If you know what you want, then there is the simplified order form to be used. You can copy previous orders, upload bulk orders and arrange complex distributions. Online reporting enables users to view previous orders and track their progress and also to download documents that they need access to.
The management system enables you to create order kits, so that users can simply order multiple products that go together by selecting one item rather than having to order each part independently. Support staff can have their own logins so that they can place orders on behalf of the field force and the system will track both who placed the order and who it was placed for.
There is a highly configurable post and packing module that enables you to control who has access to what methods of shipping – if you don’t want to allow the some users to be able to select next day delivery options, for example, then they won’t even see them.
If you need items sent to an address other than the customer’s, maybe because a member of the field force wants to deliver them personally, then you can specify an alternative delivery address without sacrificing the information about which customer the goods will ultimately be delivered to. The system is highly configurable and will support most budgeting scenarios (for order control) and customer classification schemes (for analysis).
In addition, COS comes with SMX’s customer relationship management tools so you can create extracts, emails, mail merges and also track on-line promotions.
