Masque Imager, is a small program that is designed to help you create high quality thumbnails from your photos and videos for use on your website - or anywhere else for that matter. It also has a few other features that help you create the images you need. Really, it's all about saving you time.

One of the problems with thumbnails is making sure that you get the selection to the correct ratio and then having to resize the selection to the correct dimensions. Well with Masque Imager this is done for you. Just set the size you want to create and then choose to do a proportional select. The selection box on the source image is created to the correct size. You can the move it around to select the section you want and resize the selection area, which will maintain the correct aspect ratio. Once you're happy, then click select and Imager will resize your image to the dimensions you need.

If you do not want the exact dimensions, but want to decide yourself on the area, then just choose standard select and Imager will resize you selection to be a best fit for sizes you have set.

Other features in Imager include

- rotating your image

You can load your images by selecting a file, dragging a file from your Windows Explorer, from your digital camera, your scanner or by copying and pasting.

One other useful feature is to be able to load up a movie file, step through it to the frame you want and create a thumbnail/screen grab.
